Dr. Foster provides your veterinarian with a comprehensive Internal Medicine evaluation including a tailored patient specific summary with recommendations for your pet. Dr. Wendy Foster is a Board-certified small animal Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist (www.acvim.org). Dr. Foster’s is a graduate of the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College (www.ovc.uoguelph.ca). After completing her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Guelph she completed a Small Animal Internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Detroit. Dr. Foster returned to Guelph after the Internship to complete a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Ontario Veterinary College and received ACVIM Board Certification in 2005.
Prior to the starting an academic career at the University of Guelph, Dr. Foster successfully completed an Animal Care Technologist Diploma at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario. During her studies in Guelph Dr. Foster worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician (www.oavt.org) in the Small Animal Intensive Care Unit, Department of Clinical Pathology and Anesthesia Departments, and the Avian and Exotic Clinic. Dr. Foster also gained veterinary experience in various private and academic veterinary medicine facilities in Florida, Colorado, Brazil, Germany and Australia during her college and university studies.
For the past 10 years Dr. Foster has provided Internal Medicine Services for companion animals for the eastern and north eastern Greater Toronto region. In combination with a comprehensive personalized service provided to subscribing veterinarians, Dr. Foster provides Internal Medicine consultation with a North American Veterinary Laboratory Company (www.antechdiagnostics.com). Dr. Foster also works as an Internal Medicine locum at local Veterinary Specialty Centres and is Chair of the Ontario Veterinary Specialists Association’s, Outreach Committee (www.OVSA.ca)
Dr. Foster annually attends the ACVIM conference held in various cities in North America. Additionally she attends specialty conferences held by the ACVIM. Dr. Foster is a member of the following organizations.

Dr. Foster lives in Uxbridge, Ontario. She grew up and worked in Kingston, Ontario, then lived for a decade and a half in Guelph, Ontario during her academic endeavors. Dr. Foster lives with her husband and young elementary school-aged son who admires his two older brilliant brothers. The four-legged member of the family is a Greyhound who thinks he is a Labrador Retriever. Dr. Foster enjoys gardening, genealogy, cycling, kayaking and walks in the Durham forest.
